There are a lot of championships held in all parts of the world almost every year. And thousands of sportsmen train the whole year to pass qualification and to take part in desirable championship.

But why do we need it? Why do people want to participate in Championships and Competitions?

Competitions are very important. First of all they bring a great number of emotions and energy, especially if you win. You get so much positive emotions that they feed you during next year. Every person participates in Competition to win it and to take its first prise. Purposes may be different. Some people want to prove they are the best, and set the record in such way they self-estimate. Others want to earn a lot of money because the first prise of some competitions is a great sum of money. Others want to bring glory to the country they represent. The real patriots compete to hear the anthem of their country. Others take part in competitions to become famous all over the world. Such world known championships as World Cup, Olympic Games, etc. may turn a person into celebrity. But it is necessary to train a lot to win the first prise or at least to impress the audience somehow.

Competitions are also important because make people work constantly. Competition is huge in Championships and you have to work hard to gain something that is why almost every Olympic Games bring us new records and these records stimulate people to further work and achievements.

Competitions and Championships are always favourable for technological progress. New inventions appear to make the work and the training of sportsmen more comfortable. Such competitions as Formula One always require some changes and innovations in technological equipment of participants.

Competitions and Championships are also great shows that entertain people and give possibility to support our favourite team or a sportsman. Television gave the possibility to watch all games and competitions sitting in a comfortable armchair.

But of course emotions and feeling that the victory brings can't be compared with anything.
