Rally and Formula 1

Formula One is open wheeled auto racing. It is the most expensive, important and prestigious rally.

The World Championship Formula One is held every year and consists of separate stages. And the Champion is named only in the end of the year. Teams and drivers alone may participate in Formula One. Drivers compete to get the title of the Champion of the World, and teams compete to get the World Constructors' Championship (WCC).

Teams use all techniques and constructions of their own production, so the main purpose of the team is not only to hire an experienced and fast driver but also to give all necessary instructions, fast and qualified service, constructions of good quality.

There are always new and original technological inventions because of constant competing of teams. And it is favourable for creating of a great number of racing cars as well as of ordinary cars.

But the role of F1 as a base of technological progress becomes less important, it is connected with the desire of those who organise this championship to reduce the expenses of participants.

Racing is held on Sundays. And during racing a driver must ride a certain number of circles. Usually the distance of racing is not longer than 305 km. And the racing can't last more than 2 hours. If 2 hours pass and racers didn't go through all the distance, the circle of the racers will be the last.

Every team is able to use any number of pit stops during racing. There are a lot of reasons for pit stops like adding gasoline, repairing car, change of some details, etc. Usually every team has 1-3 pit stops.

Formula One has a lot of rules that were created to protect people's lives. There are a lot of cases when the participants of racing got some injuries. So, more and more rules appear to control it. Racing on high speed is always a potential risk.
